Airbnb Supplies We Recommend

We get asked all the time where we got items we use at our Airbnbs, by both guests and people wanting to become hosts themselves. We’ve finally compiled a list of the most requested items + our favs!

Some of these are affiliate links, so we received a tiny commission if you purchase through these links. If you purchase, we’d love for you to use these links!

Bedroom Items:

  • the best, affordable sheets — Most of ours are bright white currently and we’ll move to something more like this as we replace them. Our patterned sheets have held up much better, with less stains than the bright white.
  • the mattress – We have 3 of these. We were impressed with the quality for the price. They’re on the firmer side, so it might not be for you if you like a soft mattress.
  • a waterproof mattress protector — better quality + price than most
  • wood, mid century bed – I love the look of this bed and will likely buy it for our guest room at home. Works well with the mattress above because it doesn’t require a box spring.
  • gray upholstered bed – the most lightweight and easy to assemble, also doesn’t require box spring
  • bed blanket – We use cozy blankets under our quilts and this is the most fabulous one. Comes in multiple sizes/colors and is MUCH better quality than similarly priced options at Target, etc. Doesn’t shed (IYKYK) and very, very cozy.
  • our yellow quilt set – We use this in our Rock and Roll room. It’s lightweight, good quality, and has held up great with a lot of washes. I probably wouldn’t use a quilt this thin without a cozy blanket underneath (see above).
*I suggest quilts for all Airbnb bedding! They’re easier to launder and store than other options!*
  • set of 2 luggage racks – These are a nice addition to the bedrooms for guests to have a place for their luggage. These are the coolest I found for the price.
  • velvet pillow covers – I love, love these Monday Moose velvet pillow covers. They come in multiple (reversible) colors 4 to a pack and look wayyy more expensive than they were. (I buy the inserts in a 2 pack at Walmart.)
  • palm pillow covers – We have this one and this one on our Retro Retreat couch. Easy to wash and have held up great. I used the same inserts as above.
  • a basic pack and play – We have one of these in each Airbnb. I didn’t even know you were supposed to use pack and play sheets but a guest mentioned it so I bought these.
  • my favorite throw blanket – I have loved this blanket! I bought it in gold and it’s washed well and looks lovely! I’ve bought it for wedding presents also. Looks more expensive than it is and is definitely something I’ll buy again.

Bathroom Items:

  • towels – These are what we’re currently using. Some of the best advice I got was to buy towels you can easily buy more of as needed. I went with these because I could run to the local Target and grab a few when needed. They’re great quality but pricier than I prefer when I have to throw them away. If you catch a sale, you can get them for around $6/towel.
  • other towels – If I had it to do over again, I would buy these. They’re great, mid-range towels. I use them at home personally. They’re weighty enough to not feel cheap, while also not being the most luxurious you’ve ever used. Ours at home have held up great. You can catch these on a great sale too!
  • washcloths – I started with these for the baby and then upgraded all of our airbnb washcloths to these. I was so tired of tossing white washcloths when someone used them to remove makeup. I use the dark gray so they don’t stain as easily and will survive most makeup removal.
  • my favorite hand soap – smells sooo good!
  • hand towels – We’re also moving away from white hand towels. I bought these for Retro Retreat and have these in our bathroom at home.
  • single roll toilet paper holder – Trust me. Do NOT use a stand that holds multiple rolls. #hellobnbTP if you don’t believe me.
  • another toilet paper holder – If you need a wall mount, this matte black set and this gold set are good ones.

Kitchen Items:

Rugs:

Supplies:

  • our detergent – This keeps things clean and smells great. Don’t go overboard but defintely don’t buy the cheap stuff either.
  • guest detergent – We provide these for guests to use to make things more simple and store them in cool, old jars.
  • a fantastic cleaner for the really dirty stuff
  • Sam’s Clubs membership – We buy a lot of supplies, like toilet paper and paper towels, in bulk. We use the Sam’s brand for a nice middle ground option. (Nothing sucks worse than cheap toilet paper!) We’ve saved a chunk of money on supplies this way.

Entry Stuff:

Light Fixtures:

When it comes to hosting, it’s important to use quality items that guests can appreciate, that you won’t be constantly replacing, and that are affordable to keep your profit margins within range. Most of these items were found after searching high and low for the best, most affordable option. Several of the items were discovered by trial and error and doing a lot of things wrong. Feel free to learn from our mistakes!
