About Me

“I think everything in life is art. What you do. How you dress. The way you love someone. And how you talk. Your smile. And your personality. What you believe in, and all your dreams. The way you drink your tea. How you decorate your home. Or party. Your grocery list. The food you make. How your writing looks. And the way you feel. Life is art.” – Anonymous

I’ve already worn many hats in my lifetime. My twitter bio says, “I want to do everything, see everything, and be everything.” In many regards, that’s very true. My dream is to arrive at the end of my life having done all of the things I ever imagined and had more spectacular experiences than I can share in one sitting.

Currently, I am a real estate agent with Keller Williams. I run a team of highly skilled and fantastic people that help us stay one of the top groups in our entire region. We assist with real estate deals worldwide, so be sure to reach out to us first if you’re considering making a real estate move. I am also a real estate investor, remodeling homes to reach their full potential and adding my flair wherever possible. This real estate industry has been life-changing for me, and if that’s something you want to talk about, do reach out.

I write about my life and adventures at My Neck of the Woods. Writing has been a passion of mine since I can remember and I use this online space to share my thoughts and experiences, and hopefully inspire others to live the best version of their lives possible.

I began my career as the Technology Marketing Director at the Monroe/West Monroe Convention and Visitors Bureau. Working in tourism was a ton of fun. I met many wonderful people and to this day, I still photograph my food.

Next, I opened Salt & Pepper Accessory Boutique with my sister at the young age of 23. I knew nothing about business at the time and launched this venture simply on faith and thankfully, my inspiration and creativity didn’t fail me. We had a wonderful business and I learned the most about business and myself during these years. In 2013, we sold the business and I launched into my real estate career full-time.

For the last several years, I’ve been on a personal journey, learning more about myself, my dreams, and my goals every single day. I’ve learned that it’s not about reaching a certain end point or being “finished.” Instead, it’s about using every single day to learn something new and to grow in some way.

A few of my interests are writing, business, goal-setting, decorating, making something out of nothing, being outdoors, thrifting, mixing the old and new, living an intentional life, and traveling. If you are interested in any of these things too, feel free to follow along here or on Instagram. I often say, “I’m in the business of making friends,” so reach out and introduce yourself!
